"Spotsylvania teen to play Carnegie Hall"

- Hope Racine, The Free Lance Star

I grew up in a military family, experiencing a nomadic childhood that took me across the globe. Born in Okinawa, Japan, I was raised in the Twentynine Palms, California before finally settling in Northern Virginia.

At the age of eight, I embarked on a musical journey by joining the esteemed Levine School in D.C. Under the guidance of Juilliard alumni Hae Soon Hahn and Olga Khroulevitch, I honed my skills and flourished as the concertmistress for numerous prestigious orchestras, including the Rappahannock Youth Symphony, Fredericksburg Area Young Musicians Orchestra, Mid-Atlantic Strings Festival, the Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra, and the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Strings Institute.

In a crowning achievement during my senior year of high school, I had the privilege of touring with the Shenandoah Conservatory in Spain and later performing a solo at the illustrious Carnegie Hall.

Following my high school graduation, I sought further artistic refinement in Paris, France. There, I pursued Violin Performance at the renowned Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot, under the tutelage of exceptional instructors such as Liana Gourdjia and Igor Volochine, the former being a distinguished soloist of the National Symphony Orchestra of Moscow. I embraced invaluable experiences attending their masterclasses and touring alongside them in France and Italy, performing with the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris Orchestra.

After immersing myself in the enchantment of Paris for eight years, I discovered a newfound passion for teaching and made my return to the United States. For the past two years, I have been dedicated to nurturing young talents as a K-8 Music educator and choir director at Saint Catherine Labouré School in Harrisburg, PA.

Now, I am excited to embark on a new endeavor by opening my own music studio, where I will continue to empower and inspire my students, fostering their love for music. Additionally, I actively contribute to the artistic community as a worship leader and proud member of the West Shore Symphony, enriching my musical journey by participating in their captivating chamber groups.
